Renwick Clifton House B&B

The view is what stays with you: from the breakfast deck and many room windows, you look down over pine trees and leafy woods toward the Hudson and the mountains. It really does look like a Thomas Cole painting. We stayed in the Mary Powell room, where the heated bathroom tile and jacuzzi tub by the picture window made the price worthwhile. The rooms are all beautiful, and the hosts are warm. Breakfast was four courses, with honey from Miriam's hives and maple syrup Eric taps and cooks himself. They also handled my gluten-free request beautifully, serving a homemade scone, pecan-crusted French toast, eggs, and bacon. Such a cozy, luxurious stay. We’re glad we found this place and are already planning to come back.

The service and rooms were amazing. Staying here makes you feel like a celebrity.

We’ve stayed at seven B&Bs along the East Coast, and this one is easily our favorite. The food was incredible, definitely five-star quality. When we travel to NY again, we’ll make a point of staying here.

My fiancé, several friends in our wedding party, and I booked rooms here a year ahead of our wedding. We were excited to stay, and we had confirmation numbers and emails, though my friends and I noticed the initial deposit hadn’t been taken. After a friend left a voicemail asking when the first half of the stay would be charged, the B&B cancelled all our bookings nine months later instead of responding. I’m extremely disappointed. That was ridiculously unprofessional, and this place clearly isn’t reliable.
