Colonial Traveler Inn

I’d stay here again. It’s a nice budget motel, and the staff were polite and helpful. My room was in a retrofitted house apart from the main motel, which gave it a quaint feel. The decor looked modern, everything worked, and the room was comfortable and clean, though it smelled a little dank. Breakfast was acceptable.

There’s lots of parking, and the area is very convenient. The place has been redone, including a new sign out front, and it looks good. The landscaping is nice, too, with a charcoal grill guests can use and benches in a small picnic area. TV has the regular Comcast cable channels and HBO. My only complaint is that there’s no on demand.

The bedspreads were dirty, and the room smelled bad and felt cramped. It had two queen beds less than a foot apart. The bathroom only had a stall shower, with no sink in it. The sink was a foot from one of the beds.

The staff were really friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the grounds were mostly in the same shape. I’d put it at about 8.5 out of 10.
