The room had so many antiques and carvings, it felt like a museum, and we could have spent much longer exploring the castle and its grounds. There was plenty to see and experience. The staff were amazing and very attentive. It was a peaceful, relaxing weekend, and the best B&B we’ve stayed at.

From the top of the Castle tower, the mountain views were breathtaking. We also liked walking the castle walls and seeing all the different plants and trees. My husband and I booked the King's Chamber for three nights for our 25th anniversary after I came across Uhuburg and learned we could stay there. Bob, the owner, joined us for breakfast each morning and shared stories about Helen Georgia, the castle, and his family. Breakfast was first class every day. The hospitality and sense of peace made this a special place for our getaway. Thanks to everyone there for making the anniversary memorable.

Castle Faire in January 2026 was amazing! The castle and grounds are gorgeous, and the Ren faire was fabulous, with loads of vendors and entertainment. We saw marionette puppeteers, falconers, bards, and live sword fights. We’ll be back every year forever.

The breakfast was yummy, and the staff were so friendly. I even joked about moving in as a cleaning lady, and they said maybe, lolol, so I guess that’s a retirement idea. My husband and I will visit again soon. I thought the castle might date from the 70s or 80s, so finding out it’s new was a pleasant surprise. The idea of a family-owned castle with a family-owned bed and breakfast is brilliant. It could get new generations interested in Renaissance culture and the ways it can still shape the modern world. Love this place!

I’d never seen a castle close up before. I’d only seen some in southern Italy from the road, so being able to explore this one was a great experience. You can stay overnight if rooms are available. I especially loved the Grape Vineyard, and the Muscadine grapes were delicious. We met the owner/builder, his wife, and daughter, and they were warm and friendly. You can explore on your own, join a tour guide, or do both. I listened to parts of tours explaining the Murals on different walls: one about Native American Culture, another about Japanese and Chinese beliefs, and one about Middle Eastern beliefs. It was interesting and educational.
