We brought our 60 lb pet, and the room worked really well for us. It was roomy and clean, though I could do without the carpet. The pet policy was easy, which is a real perk in such a dog-friendly city. I just wish there were more green space nearby for potty breaks. We had to walk a few blocks to find grass, which was inconvenient at 11 pm. The hotel is in a great Savannah location, about a three-minute walk to the riverfront. It was clean, and the grounds were as tidy as they could be given the busy pedestrian corner and people leaving litter around. The breakfast area was nice and the staff were great, but the food was only okay. It was the same every day: a cooked egg round, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and one day some very crispy bacon that shredded when picked up. The coffee came from a pouch in a machine and didn’t taste right to me, and the creamer options were poor. I’ve had much better hotel breakfasts. Savannah has plenty of coffee shops and breakfast choices, so keep that in mind if the included full breakfast is part of why you’re booking. The hotel itself was great, and I’d stay again.

The rooms were fairly average and comfortable, but could use more cleaning and maintenance. Some spots needed touch-ups, and a few things looked rusty or worn. A bit more attention to upkeep would improve them. The front desk ladies were polite, gentle, and welcoming, and made check-in easy by being so helpful and friendly. It was a good stay, especially because of their service.

The location made it easy to get to River St and Franklin Square. Our room was clean, the AC worked amazingly well, and the beds were really comfortable. It could use a few touch-ups, but otherwise we were very comfortable and would stay again.

The hotel was old, though in good shape, and the staff were very nice. We had a fair price for the room and found downtown Savannah easy to reach. I was in town for an event at the Ships Museum, which was an easy walk from here. There were a few little flying bugs in the room, enough to be annoying, though not many. Great location.

We chose this place for its closeness to SCAD. The SCAD Museum of Art was a 12-minute walk away, while Riverwalk and City Market were quite a distance. The weather was beautiful all weekend, so the walks didn’t bother us. It’s affordable and on a main street, but the hotel wasn’t very clean: visible dust and crud were caked on the air vent, there were cobwebs on the ceiling and hair on the bathroom floor. The walls were also super thin, and I hope our drunken neighbors made it through what must have been a nasty hangover. You get what you pay for.
