Glō Best Western Pooler - Savannah Airport Hotel

Jasmine at the front desk was professional, friendly, helpful, and funny. She was a big reason I chose to stay here for the first time, so don't get rid of her, she's a keeper. The room was clean but small, the water pressure was great, and the location worked well. Breakfast, including the coffee, was not good at all.

Breakfast was spectacular, and the young man in the kitchen was polite and gave excellent service. The hotel was nice and clean, though I wish the housekeepers would keep their voices down while cleaning. A red-haired girl was talking on the phone, laughing, and shouting so loudly she kept me awake. Also, if you leave something behind, they never return it.

The lobby was clean, tidy, and attractive, which helped us feel more at ease after arriving. But outside, the chain-link fence by the entrance was half down and the grass had grown over. For a hotel that's only two years old, the place already seems to be falling apart. Our room looked nice at first, but we found mold on parts of the walls and ceilings. The office chair was badly stained, and parts of the bed sheet were torn. The blackout curtains jammed shut on the first night and we couldn't open them again. The breakfast was an average hotel spread, nothing to rave about or complain over. Only one of the two elevators worked, and it was extremely slow. At the desk, one man in his 30s or 40s greeted people and was friendly, but three different women seemed busy with their own things and wouldn't look up. We wouldn't stay again or recommend it.

We stayed five days, including weekdays and the weekend, and really enjoyed it. The rooms had a layout we liked, including the “hidden” bathroom. Our main disappointment was the beds: they were quite hard, and didn't look like the queen beds we'd booked. Even so, we preferred this stay to the Marriott in another town the night before. Breakfast was pretty decent. One of the men keeping it stocked did a phenomenal job, making sure things never ran low and checking food temperatures for safety. When the other man was running it, unfortunately, there was never any hot food. Christine(/a?) was phenomenal and so helpful.
