The staff really stood out. They were so attentive, and I’d happily come back. My room felt more like an apartment, with its own living room and separate bedroom, and the bed was super comfortable. The blackout blinds were great for sleeping in, too. It was quiet on the far side of I-95, away from Pooler Parkway traffic, with a lake and well-kept grounds nearby. I felt completely safe in the room and outside, and there was plenty of lighting by my car at night. There’s lots to do close by, plus Hilton Head and Savannah are a short drive away.

The room was large, with two TVs, one in the bedroom and another in a separate sitting area. But neither TV worked the next morning. Maybe the remote batteries were dead. I was leaving soon, so I let it go. The slow sink drain was another problem. I mentioned it to the front desk on my way to dinner and was told it would be fixed, but nothing had changed when I got back. I was too tired to bring it up again. I’d stopped after a long day of driving because the hotel had good reviews. The desk clerk said the upper floors were being renovated and the elevator was out, so I took a first-floor room. At first it seemed fine, but the shower looked badly in need of renovation. The window had a shade but no drapes, despite having a separate chain for drapes, and a wall light was nearly falling off. I’ll attach photos of the grimy shower grout. If this room was due for renovation, I don’t understand why it was rented at full price. These problems weren’t about cleanliness, but poor management and renting rooms during renovations. I didn’t raise them at checkout because I don’t think the front desk staff had control over them.

I was left without a room for the night, exhausted after a 12-hour drive and in the middle of a migraine. The front desk man told me, “I just work here,” shrugged, and sent me to customer service. With no compassion from anyone at Hyatt, I had an autistic meltdown. Then they refused to refund me because I’d had one. I never threatened to harm anyone, but the guy who did exactly that to me didn’t lose his rewards points. What a joke. I’m disabled, though I don’t need a wheelchair-accessible room. They offered me a second-floor room, which I couldn’t access, since the elevator was down. The staff acted as if I’d made a mistake by not asking for a first-floor room. At hotels with working elevators, I don’t need one, and I’d assumed this one had elevators too. I’d checked the Hyatt app beforehand and it gave no indication the hotel was under construction or the elevator was out. I’d booked through the app in May of last year. This isn’t a safe hotel for people with autism or mobility issues. Think again before staying here. Edit: The interaction became “challenging” after your staff said “I just work here” and customer support acted like I should have predicted the construction. If you’d driven 12 hours with a migraine, then been treated like you were the problem, you’d have reacted the same way.

Breakfast had plenty of choices, from pancakes and salad to tortillas and other things. The room was spacious and came with extra linen, and the staff at check-in were warm and friendly. Getting in and checking out were both easy, and there was parking on site. We had a wonderful stay.

Terry at the front desk made booking and check-in easy, and even helped with our bags because of the elevator issues. Terry was there again at checkout and made sure the bill and the rest of our stay were all in order. It was a great experience. Thank you!
