Hyatt Regency Savannah

The staff made this a great stay. At the work conference hosted by my wife's company, the bartenders Nikki & Crystal were always smiling and made sure the attendees were looked after. Shamar, the valet, greeted me when I arrived and went out of his way every time he saw me. My vehicle was ready whenever I needed it and treated as if it were his own. That kind of care isn’t what I expected as the new normal. These people deserve recognition and raises.

The rooms feel like they’ve seen better days. Our last night, a pipe burst and the water was out for the whole evening, which was really inconvenient. The air and heat didn’t seem to respond to the control pad, the beds weren’t very comfortable, and the tub and shower were worse than the ones at home. The rooms clearly need renovation, and the price is for the location. The lobby and amenities were beautiful, the service was fantastic, and the location is hard to beat. Still, I was disappointed that the room didn’t live up to the rest of the hotel.

Management even called to make sure a small issue had been handled. I wouldn’t have expected that from a large chain, and we’ll definitely return. The hotel was clean and very nice, in a great location, with five-star customer service. Special thanks to Tyler McCorkle, the assistant director of operations, for taking such good care of us.

The room had a lovely sunset view, and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We didn’t hear noise from the hallway or nearby rooms, and housekeeping was careful with our belongings when tidying up. It was my first stay at the Hyatt Regency in Savannah, Georgia, and a wonderful experience. The hotel is right by Riverfront and the Convention Center, and I was able to use the ferry to get around. Corey and Joanta stood out for their excellent service from check-in through checkout, and they gave me helpful information for the trip.
