The staff tried hard to help and accommodate us, and I appreciate their effort, but the rooms need a lot of work and pest control. We had roaches in our room, and I hate bugs. There were too many broken-down cars on the property, and guests left lots of trash around, making the place look run down. I wish them the best, but I wouldn’t recommend this location unless you have to.

The location was the main plus, about 20 minutes from downtown, and for the price I could’ve done worse. I took a spontaneous overnight trip to Savannah with my girlfriend, and by then everywhere else was booked or ridiculously expensive. We got a single queen room. It looked old and stained, but was reasonably clean with no trash left behind. Two towels were stained, while the rest were clean, so bring your own to be safe. The floor was sticky too, so I’d suggest slippers or keeping your socks on. Most importantly, I didn’t see roaches or other pests, which was about all I could ask for at that price. At night the place felt a little sketchy, even with the mall cop security guard, so bring protection, if you know what I mean.

There were roaches everywhere. Bring your own pillows, toilet paper, and be ready to put your things in the dryer because of the infestation. They don’t even stock toilet paper in the room. The cheap third-party price fooled me, and I expected this to be like any other hotel. I was wrong. They also kept my $50 security deposit, claiming it was for damages. The towel rack was already loose and rattling when I arrived, every time I used my towel. I’ve never seen a hotel run so blatantly cutthroat and slum-like, or so willing to break code. Do not stay here.

The clerk was super friendly, but he knew the rooms were infested with roaches and smelled like homeless people. I’ve never been in such a hair-raising situation. I wish I’d taken photos. It was the closest thing to a homeless shelter imaginable.
