Oglethorpe Lodge

Four adults shared a two-bedroom place with one and a half baths, and having the living room gave us lots of space to spend time together. There were so many small touches that made the place feel homey. It was amazingly clean, not a speck of dust that we could find. Shopping and dining were an easy walk away. We absolutely loved it and would stay again. I'd happily recommend it to family and friends.

The property manager was very nice and checked in during our stay to see how things were going. Oglethorpe Lodge is a great place in Savannah, with about as good a location as you could ask for. Each unit includes a parking space, which is a huge perk. Your car is right outside the door, so there's no parking garage to deal with. The patio is a nice place to relax on a beautiful day. If you like regular tavern and bar food, PS Tavern down the street is good and has a fun atmosphere. Just keep in mind that reaching the second and third floors means taking the stairs.

Oglethorpe Lodge handled things well when Hurricane Irma initially canceled our bachelorette trip. They were easy to work with and helped us find a fair solution. When we finally got to Savannah, we were impressed with the rooms. They were clean and comfortable, and quiet even though ours was at street level. We had plenty of sheets and towels, and the caretaker stopped by in the morning to ask if we needed anything else. The lodge is close enough to walk easily to the historic and riverfront sights. Its location, quality, and professional staff made the trip wonderful. I'd definitely stay here again on a future Savannah visit.

We were six women in 902, which we chose for its two full bathrooms. The sleeper sofa was the most comfortable one I've ever slept on. The place was nice overall, and everything else appeared clean, though we found popcorn under the couch and a huge piece of plastic bubble wrap under one of the beds. With six of us, we ran out of toilet paper and needed fresh towels, which they said we could request. We texted and emailed Jessica one evening but got no reply. The next morning, she told us she had left enough towels and toilet paper, and that there was no concierge service, so we'd need to buy more ourselves. She did send a guy with extra towels and two rolls of toilet paper. Thanks, Jessica. Sorry our $900.00 three-night stay apparently didn't include toilet paper. They also charge a $50.00 cleaning fee.
