Stay Alfred at The Bowery

Free street parking is a real find in downtown Savannah, and we could walk to City Market, River Street, Forsyth Park, and lots of restaurants and sights in between. My family stayed with Stay Alfred at The Bowery for my daughter’s graduation. The room was impeccably clean and beautiful, and The Bowery is a lovely luxury apartment complex. You’ll love staying there.

The location made it easy to walk around, but the staff never got back to me. I sent several messages through email, texts, Airbnb, and the phone number inside the apartment for questions or concerns, and it was disheartening to hear nothing. If someone’s sleeping on the pullout sofa, bring an eye mask. There’s no cover on the patio door.

The building gym was good, and the beds were comfortable, but the rest of the stay was poor. The internet and cable TV didn’t work, and repeated calls to customer service didn’t resolve the internet problem. We had to use our own hotspot for other devices and buy a Google Chromecast to watch TV. So much of the stay went toward trying to fix the connection, with little helpful support. The bathroom door locks didn’t work, and there’s no parking on the premises. It was our first time with Stay Alfred, and I’d hesitate to recommend them or try them again.

Check-out had no grace period at all, and the dishwasher left soap on the dishes. Still, it was a great space in a very good location, with easy check-in and everything we needed.
