The Drayton Hotel Savannah, Curio Collection by Hilton

We were able to check in early even though we arrived in the morning, which we really appreciated. From arrival to checkout, the staff at The Drayton Hotel were warm, attentive, and friendly. Our room was spotless, with distinctive decor that made it feel special, and breakfast was delicious with excellent service. The location is ideal for walking to nearly everything in Savannah. We also enjoyed an unexpected rooftop stop at golden hour. The complimentary drinks for hotel guests were a lovely way to relax and take in the atmosphere. We'd happily return and recommend it.

Breakfast at the Drayton was made to order and quite good, unlike the buffet setup at many hotels. We stayed two nights and had a great visit. The clean room had distinctive decor, though it was a bit small. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to the Riverfront and many historic spots. There's a resort fee, which includes golden hour on the rooftop from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., with complimentary drinks and a free appetizer. We'd recommend the Drayton to anyone visiting Savannah.

We chose The Drayton Savannah for a quick Christmas weekend because it's near the riverfront and historic district. It was just what we hoped for: a warm, intimate boutique feel, with a beautiful, spotless, comfortable room and excellent bedding. They upgraded us based on our Hilton membership status and explained the amenities at check-in, including the rooftop Golden Hour with complimentary cocktails and appetizers. We had cocktails one evening at The Vinyl Room, the speakeasy-style lounge below the main restaurant. It's popular, so plan ahead. St. Neo’s Brasserie was excellent for dinner, though the morning service was the one small miss. If you want a big resort-style property, this may not be the place. We loved our stay and would return and recommend it.

After a day on the road and sightseeing, it felt great to relax at The Drayton. We liked Savannah and the hotel enough to book another night at the last minute while road-tripping to Miami for my partner's work. The building and interior have a lot of charm, and I especially liked our room's bathroom. The steamer and cushioned hangers were handy too. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy the lounge with a wine or cocktail and a game of chess, and to use the rooftop patio. The location worked perfectly for us. We'd definitely book here again on a proper visit to Savannah.
