The Gastonian, Historic Inns of Savannah Collection

We parked the car and walked everywhere, thanks to the hotel's good location. Our downstairs room had its own entrance, so bringing in our bags was easy, and it felt private and romantic. Breakfast was delicious, and we looked forward to the wine and appys before dinner, then port and dessert afterward. One day we skipped dinner and just had appy's and dessert at the hotel. The Gastonian was wonderful for our four-night stay. It still looked lovely with its holiday decorations, and the accommodating staff gave us plenty of good recommendations. We'd definitely stay again.

The bed and floors are old, so don't get too energetic! Still, we had a fabulous stay with my husband. A freak snowstorm came through the South, and those working gas fireplaces were a real bonus. The room was just right, breakfast was delicious, and the wine and port service was a lovely touch. Caitlin, Courtney, and the breakfast crew were wonderful.

Fresh-cooked breakfast and the evening wine and hors d’oeuvres are a big part of what made the Gastonian such a lovely place to enjoy Savannah. The staff were all gracious, kind, and authentic. With the gas lanterns, wood floors, historic charm, and Southern hospitality, staying here felt like the romantic Savannah inn people dream about. It was quintessential Savannah and made for an unforgettable visit.

Milan was working concierge when I booked the Gastonian at the last minute after an unexpected flight delay in December. She showed us the rooms available that night, patiently helped while we chose, and recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner. She was immensely helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and coming back from dinner to the fireplace was lovely. Breakfast the next morning exceeded our expectations. We'll certainly return next time we're in Savannah.
