The Starland District was such a fun base for exploring, with coffee at Foxy Loxy, breakfast from Big Bon Bodega, dinner at The Vault, tiki drinks at Water Witch, and an easy meal at Nom Nom Poke all nearby. We also loved the walk up to Forsyth Park, and the free trolley stops by The Galloway House made getting downtown and back easy. We stayed in the Caroline Suite, on the first floor of the carriage house behind the main home. Getting there means passing through a lovely Secret Garden-esque courtyard. The suite had everything we needed and then some, with its own entrance and a comfortable place to unwind after a day out. The Greek revival mansion is gorgeous, and that porch is something else. Keith and Jim were warm and welcoming hosts. I even got to meet their darling pup Hudson on the porch after asking for a meet n' greet with the celeb himself. My sister and I loved our stay and can't wait to come back to this Savannah spot.

For two nights in Savannah, the third-floor accommodations were very comfortable, and the location worked well for us. Check-in was seamless, and the owners were available with restaurant and tour suggestions, which we really appreciated. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would recommend this Inn to couples looking for something other than a typical hotel room.

The block felt relatively safe and well kept, which can be hard to find in historic Savannah, and I walked to the downtown area near the river in under an hour. We had a pleasant two-night stay in the Renwick Suite, a private upstairs apartment in the carriage house with its own entrance. The enclosed back yard has a lovely secret garden feel. The host was helpful and communicative while giving us the privacy we wanted since we weren't looking to socialize. The antique rooms were beautiful and very clean. I especially liked having an in-room coffee maker and fresh beans. No kids, no dogs. We'd definitely stay again.

Jim and Keith were perfect hosts, and the suite had everything we could have asked for. It was comfortable throughout, especially the very welcoming bed after dinner at Elizabeth on 37th. We chose The Galloway House for its convenient location, and we'll use it as a base again wherever we head in Savannah.

Keith and Jim were friendly and so helpful, and our second-floor room in the annex was lovely and comfortable. The stairs up to it are narrow and very steep, which made carrying our luggage difficult for us as aged seniors. Younger guests probably won't have the same trouble. The Inn is outside the city center, about a 25-minute walk away. It was a pleasant walk and much quieter than staying right downtown. There's also a free bus on the route, though it never showed up when we waited for it. We took Ubers when we were too tired to walk. I'd definitely stay here again if we return to Savannah.
