This stay was so good it’s making me think about moving to Savannah. The hotel had a great vibe, the rooms were extremely clean, and the staff were so nice. The pool was a highlight. Liam, the pool bartender, was sweet and helpful with tips on what to do around town, and he made fabulous cocktails. He even brought our drinks right to our chairs. We felt really well looked after and are grateful to him and the rest of the staff.

We loved The Thompson Savannah. It’s pretty, very clean, and the staff are wonderful. Although it’s a little off the main street with shops and restaurants, it’s easy to get around. The hotel even has a complimentary driver for trips within a 3 mile radius. At check-in, the front desk staff went above and beyond and suggested some lovely nearby places to visit. A+!

Our corner room had a perfect view of ships coming and going from the port, and we left with wonderful memories. Service at the Thompson was impeccable from arrival to departure, which is why we love staying there. We had a delicious dinner at Fleeting on the first night. The next evening, the concierge booked a nearby restaurant for us, and we enjoyed that meal too. The hotel offers a driving service, tip-based, to places within a 3 mile radius. We’re already looking forward to returning very soon. When we visit Savannah, it’s only Thompson for us.

The hotel sits just outside downtown rather than right in the middle of it. It’s an easy walk to everything, about 15 minutes to the far end, and there’s a lovely riverfront path along the way. There’s also a free car service. Parking was convenient with valet, metered street spaces, or a nearby garage, and the hotel is very dog-friendly. We had a great stay with our two-year-old and three-month-old. The team dealt with a couple of minor issues quickly and professionally, and fixed them without hesitation. Service like that goes a long way. The rooms are beautiful, modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, and the hotel has a great happy hour at the lobby bar. The rooftop is a standout with one of the best city views, in my opinion. With two excellent restaurants and bars on site, you can have a great time without leaving the property. The design, food and drink, and attentive service made this a stay worth recommending. We’d definitely come back.
