We didn't feel safe walking around the place in broad daylight. We were charging our Tesla and walking our dog when we checked out what we thought was an abandoned hotel next to the chargers. There were grocery carts full of stuff, an abandoned truck, piles of trash, and spots where things had been burned. We were surprised to see two people there. One room had a mosquito net over the door and another had a doormat. As best I could tell, it's a low rent option for people who've fallen on hard times. Update: We spoke to someone through a slot in a window, who said they are open. It costs $50 a night with a $10 cash deposit, and no pets are allowed.

We asked to switch rooms, but the attendant refused, saying we had been in the room for 10 minutes and couldn't be moved. My husband and I left as soon as we got settled because the place was infested with bed bugs. The bathroom was nasty, there were bugs in the toilet, and hairs on the towels. When I pulled back the blanket, the sheets were filthy and had bed bugs. We asked for a refund, but the attendant kept $10. He was also prejudiced.

This was worse than a horror movie. The sheets had cigarette burns, the room was infested with bed bugs and had mice, and the toilet wouldn't flush. They made me pay $10 cash even though they had my credit card and driver's license. When I reported the conditions, they wouldn't refund me. This was 8/18/2023. Don't stay here!

The hotel seems like it's for everyone. Early in the day I saw families, then later the kids disappeared and the adults came out to relax the way adults like to. The staff were engaging, and the grounds were beautiful. The lobby's architecture was absolutely breathtaking, like walking into a castle. I visit CA at least 2x a year for work, but this was my first time in this area.

The location was perfect, and I'd definitely come back. Our room was gorgeous down to the smallest detail, very clean, and they paid attention to all our needs. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They also generously served food and drinks in the afternoon during tea time, and breakfast was really nice, with lots of interesting healthy choices.
