The one thing that bothered me was how thin the walls are. You can hear everything. Besides that, this place was lovely and a great price for what you get, and I'd stay again and again. The room was spacious and spotless, with a kitchenette that had a clean, brand-new full-size fridge, a two-burner stovetop, microwave, and lots of cabinet space. The bathroom had a tub, a nice showerhead with good pressure, and a huge counter and mirror. The bed was comfy, and there was plenty of closet space. The hallways and elevator were clean too, and there's a small gym. Rhianna at check-in was such a sweet, friendly gem. I really enjoyed chatting with her. People say some pretty bad things about this place, but my room was freshly cleaned, and I could smell that as soon as I walked in. It was immaculate. Great location and friendly staff.

The walls were so thin that it was loud, and the shower was cold with almost no pressure. I got goosebumps while trying to wash. The bed squeaked VERY loudly and was uncomfortable. There were only two towels and two pillows, and when we asked the desk for extra towels, they refused and said we'd have to trade in the ones we had. The bed had no comforter, just a thin, scratchy blanket. One of the worst hotels we've stayed at.

The room was decently clean, but the whole fourth floor smelled like a seafood boil. They don't have blow dryers in the rooms or at the front desk, so bring your own. There also isn't an iron in the room. To use the one iron they have, you have to borrow it with the ironing board from the front desk and return both as soon as you're done. Horrible! I don't recommend it.

ROACHES EVERYWHERE!!! We booked two nights, May 30th - June 1st, and after coming back around 2:30am from a concert and exploring downtown, we found roaches of all sizes crawling over our belongings, walls, and floors. The room had smelled funny when we first arrived, though it looked clean. I took photos because I couldn't believe it, then called the front desk. The worker confirmed our room number, said “oh my god,” and told me she believed me without needing to see the pictures. When I asked what could be done, she checked and called back to say she could switch us if I came to the lobby. While I went down, my friend frantically packed and shook out our stuff, which had roaches in it too. The clerk said an apartment complex was being renovated and its tenants were staying at the hotel. She said, “we are going to have to do something about them,” referring to the residents, and seemed to suggest they were the reason for the roaches. It felt like staff knew there was a problem and didn't care. If the hotel knows about it, it shouldn't be taking reservations. Disgusting and completely unacceptable. We moved to another floor, where rowdy people upstairs stomped and made a lot of noise. We looked for somewhere else, but events in town had made it hard to find a room. The staff were rude and dismissive and showed little concern for our comfort. Cleanliness and customer service are basic, and this hotel failed at both. I would never recommend staying here.

The room looked nice and seemed clean, perhaps because it had recently been upgraded, and the front desk clerk who checked us in was kind, helpful, and professional. I appreciated that the clerk was willing to charge us for just one night and refund the rest. We had booked a whole week through Expedia, not realizing this was an extended-stay place. It may suit families staying longer or people who are displaced, but I wouldn't recommend it to tourists visiting Savannah's attractions. The marijuana smell in the hallways and coming through the walls was unbearable, and there was a lot of noise. Hot water kept coming and going, and extra pillows cost more. It's supposed to be a non-smoking property, but apparently smoking pot is acceptable. One night a belligerent, drunk guy in his twenties stood outside the entrance with an open glass liquor bottle, loudly talking to himself. An older woman nearby barely finished her cigarette before hurrying away. We went to eat and came back an hour later, but he was still there with a friend, both drunk and loud. They blocked the main entrance, so we used the back because we were honestly scared. We told the hotel clerk, but were told they couldn't control what guests did. On checkout morning, I asked another clerk for a printout proving the refund. She said Expedia would send it and she couldn't provide one. We left the very next morning and couldn't wait to get off the property. I'm sorry for leaving so suddenly and for the review, but I really didn't feel safe, and other vacationers might feel the same. It's a shame, because the place did look nice.
