Candlewood Suites San Antonio Schertz by IHG

We had a really good five-night stay. The location is great, the front desk staff were fantastic, and we liked both the amenities and the room layout. The floors were the one big problem. Dirt, crumbs, and stains were all over our room, the shared areas, and the stairwell. The kitchen’s hardwood left our socks black. I’d guess those floors hadn’t been cleaned in months. Absolutely disgusting.

Mr. Frank, the manager, was attentive and quickly handled any issues so we were well accommodated. His staff were extremely friendly, and the hotel was cleaned thoroughly every day. I had a great stay at Candlewood Suites in Schertz, Texas, and hope to visit again. Keep up the great work!

The kitchen and bathroom floors were sticky, and the bathroom door was coming apart. The rooms also felt musty and moldy. There was no toilet paper holder, so the roll sat on the toilet lid, and nowhere to put bathroom towels, which were left on the counter. The first-floor window lock in our room was broken and didn’t feel secure. We’d never stay here again.

Check-in got pretty complicated because of reservation issues with my company, Liberty. They worked through everything and helped straighten it all out. I was in room 105 on the first floor, and Ms Brittany Rodriguez was especially helpful and reassuring the whole time.
