Blue Ridge Motel

We were stuck waiting for a tow after car trouble, and Naomi and her team were kind and accommodating the whole time. The breakfast had a nice mix of yogurt, pastries, and juice, and our Frontier room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We’d only ended up at Blue Ridge Motel unexpectedly, but Vicki made a rough situation much easier. She was incredibly kind, understood what we were dealing with, and pointed us toward local garages and towing companies. We’re so glad we landed there.

Tammy, the owner and manager, was warm, easy to talk to, and happy to help. They supplied wood and a starter stick for the fire pit, which we got to use that night. The room was really clean and comfortable. We’ll be back.

Tammy always has plenty of useful local knowledge, and talking with her is one of the nicest parts of staying here. We’ve been back several times over the years while our kids were involved with the local WOL camps. The rooms have consistently been clean, and breakfast is tasty. If you book, try the chocolate chip scones, any season works.

We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast treats, and the staff made us feel welcome and were helpful throughout. The place is peaceful, clean, convenient, and very reasonably priced. It’s also away from the vacation crowds and bustle of downtown Schroon Lake, while still being in the heart of the Schroon Lake region. I’d absolutely recommend it for an overnight stay.
