The beds were the only clean part of my room. There were stains on the floor and all over the bathroom towels, and someone’s hair was in the sink. Mold was growing on the AC unit, which barely worked even at full blast. The whole hotel, including my room, smelled of cigarettes because smoking rooms are available. Service was below par, and the complimentary breakfast had stale bread.

Shae at the front desk was so pleasant and understanding. I’d first gone to the wrong location, and the guy there said he didn’t know how to give me directions to the other one. Once I checked the GPS, I saw the right place was only 11 minutes away. I booked a room for my mom and me to celebrate my twin son’s 25th birthday. Our room was clean and comfortable, and this location was in a better part of town than the first one, so be careful when booking. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly, though. There was black mold inside the bowl, definitely a housekeeping issue, and the supervisor isn’t doing a good job inspecting. We cleaned it ourselves. Aside from that, the stay was friendly and pleasant. Fast food places and a gas station are within walking distance. Breakfast choices are limited, but there was enough to take the edge off our hunger. Thanks, Shae, for the great customer service to Moma and me. We may see you again.

We’ll be back. The people were wonderful, and the place was clean. I did notice the sink could’ve been cleaner and the floor under the TV needed vacuuming. I wiped things down with Clorox wipes, as I do everywhere since I still sense Covid. I’m just mentioning what I saw, not complaining. Thank y’all so very much, and God bless. We ate boiled crabs outside and put the shells in the trash can by the pool.

I’ve been coming here every Wednesday for over two years, so I was caught off guard when the manager called to say I wasn’t welcome back because I’d complained. I usually think issues should be worked out with management, which is why I don’t normally leave reviews. I checked Expedia and saw a review that couldn’t have been mine: I don’t travel with my family and don’t have a child, and on the 7th, the date it was posted, I was back home in Houston. I’m sad to be accused of something I didn’t do, and I deserve an apology. I know you get what you pay for and don’t expect Hilton amenities, but this is unacceptable.
