Ramada Inn

For a quick night near the hospital, this was decent and fairly inexpensive. The bedding was comfortable, and both the heating and AC worked well. The lobby looked nice, the front desk woman was extremely kind, and the grab-and-go breakfast was better than expected. The room itself felt pretty average and dated. It took about five minutes for the shower water to warm up, and the room phone didn't work, so I had to use my cell to call the desk. There was no streaming or local TV, though I had brought my Fire Stick. Updating some of the worn room features could make this a very good hotel.

Free parking was a big plus, especially since a lot of hotels around here charge for it. The staff were really friendly, and breakfast was available to take along. The beds were comfortable, too. The location worked perfectly for getting to the Hilton Scranton confrence center down the road, about $10-$15 by Uber.

The rooms were clean and perfectly adequate, and the staff really made the place feel good. Everyone was upbeat, helpful, easy to reach, and willing to accommodate.

The room was clean, and the desk attendant was genuinely helpful and nice. You can tell the hotel used to be in better shape, though, and it's showing its age now. The bathroom was tiny. The price worked well for a one-night stop over Labor Day weekend.
