Comfort Suites Seaford

The breakfast was a letdown: the so-called hash browns were pale, undercooked tater tots, the sausage seemed steamed, and the bacon-like item looked bad enough that I left it alone. There were waffles and cereal, plus dense muffins that tasted processed. I'd eat somewhere nearby instead. Room 214 smelled overwhelmingly of cologne or air freshener when I entered. I struggled to open the window and air it out. The sheets did not look clean, the bed was broken, the carpet felt unpleasant barefoot, and the room seemed full of allergens. The bathroom hair dryer was broken too, and several walls and surfaces were visibly dirty. Other parts of the hotel seemed run down, including elevator buttons that did not work properly. The pool was closed during my stay. Check-in involved three forms, with lots of signatures, dates, and initials. It felt like renting a car. I'm relieved the stay is over.

The front desk staff were friendly, but the hard beds, overly soft pillows, poor lighting, and awful water pressure made the room uncomfortable. The Thanksgiving stay cost too much for such a disappointing experience. Next time, I'll choose Hampton or stay with family. Breakfast was no good. The dining staff used one rag on everything, then shook it into the trash. She was scattered, snappy, and dropping things. The worst part was seeing that same rag used on the waffle iron and batter dispenser after the tables and counters. It was gross and killed my appetite. Times have really changed.

The breakfast service was wonderful, and the room was clean. Staff were great, cordial, and helpful. The location was convenient and easy to reach.

The free breakfast was a little better than what I've had at other budget hotels. Good location, and the rooms were clean.
