Boardwalk Sand & Surf Inn Oceanfront

The bathroom reeked of male piss, and whoever used it had even left the seat up. The room was tiny, smaller than a restaurant bathroom, and looked nothing like the pictures. The bed squeaked whenever I moved, even when I just put a bag on it, and you could hear every flush. The outlet was falling out of its socket. Don’t book if you want to be comfortable. They don’t give refunds, even though the website blatantly lies about the quality of this place, which is a motel, not a hotel. Awful.

There’s food all along the boardwalk, so we never needed to drive anywhere, and pets are welcome. It’s right on the beach, and being both clean and on the beach makes it totally worth it for us. We’ve stayed at a few motels like this on the shore, and this one has been the best so far. It’s a beach motel, so don’t expect perfection or classy-looking rooms.

The Oceanside room had a great view, and the location was great. We stayed overnight this past week as a family and had a very good experience. Our room was clean, and Mo in the office was so friendly and helpful. When there was a problem with the smoke detector, he fixed it right away. I’ll definitely stay again.

The photos are misleading. Our room was dirty, with nasty floors and gross bedding, and there weren’t enough towels. It had no windows, and the bathroom was really small. Mohammad was very nice, though.
