Flamingo Inn

I paid $250 for one night and still can't believe how bad the room was. Black mold was growing in the bathroom, around the disgracefully dirty sink and shower curtain. The shower was so disgusting I couldn't use it. I'd never seen a hotel this bad. The air conditioning barely worked, and I'm confident it hadn't been cleaned in years. There were cigarette burns on the sheet and mattress protector. The old, shapeless pillows had no protective covers, only very thin pillowcases. I could sleep only by wrapping myself in my own sheet and pillowcase. I'm still feeling gross from that room. I wish I hadn't accepted it in that condition. I'd gladly pay twice as much to avoid going through that again.

The boardwalk was close, and that's the only good thing I can say about the stay. The sheets had dirt, food, and what looked like dried blood on them. I asked for towels and was told none were available. The bathroom was disgusting, and it was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned. Two rooms down, a man was hosting for sexual favors, which added to an already awful experience. This might be the cheapest choice for a family trip or summer getaway with friends, but you'll get less than you paid for. Credit to the woman who showed up on our second night and demanded a refund almost immediately.

We spent most of our time out and only came back to sleep, so the room worked for us. It was clean, odor-free, well stocked, quiet, and had nice cold air conditioning. The two beds felt a little cramped for two adults and a teenager, but it was the only room available. We'd definitely come back.

The photos didn't match what we found. The check-in lobby was dirty, with cigarette butts everywhere, including six outside our room door. The room smelled bad and was dusty, with hair in the shower, stained sheets, and cigarette holes in the comforter. Ants were all over the bathroom wall and sink. People yelled and screamed through the night. We were so disgusted that we laid towels down to sleep on and covered the pillows with them. We couldn't get a refund to leave. NOT WORTH IT!!!
