Promenade Inn & Suites Oceanfront

We come to Seaside every year, and our first stay at this hotel last year was a great experience. We'll be coming back from now on. Thank you so much for hiring caring people. This time, the booking company didn't put us in the oceanfront room we'd asked for several times on the phone. We arrived to find we'd been assigned the worst room for more money, and were about to leave for somewhere else. The front desk woman working Tuesday, February 17th, after 3 pm listened to us, checked what was available, and found another room right away. We were grateful for how much she helped make our stay better.

We paid $319 for a queen room for a cheer event weekend, and it was outdated and dirty. There was no room service, only one elevator worked, and people were yelling and stomping around at night. The bathroom had no plug for taking a bath, and when I checked out, no one asked how the stay had been. The pool and hot tub were the only good parts. The worst part was lifting a bathroom towel and having a bunch of used syringes fall onto the floor. Some had no caps. I was there with my seven-year-old daughter, and I'm very glad she wasn't poked by a needle. Does anyone clean these rooms? Don't stay here. It's gross.

I'm in a king suite on the fifth floor with a full kitchen, and it's been wonderful. The ocean views are wide open, and the staff have gone above and beyond to make sure I'm comfortable and have everything I need.

I love this hotel and its location. Being able to walk to everything is always nice, and I can't wait to see it once the renovations are done. My recent interactions with Michael over the weekend weren't like the ones people describe in other reviews. I know some things are outside his control, including the water not being turned on to our toilet and the channel cutting out during the football games. Still, a simple apology would have gone a long way. Elias, the overnight clerk, was amazing, and Jennifer was great when we checked out. I've been a manager for 20 years, and I tell people that success in business comes down to how you treat customers, employees, and vendors.
