River's Edge at Bridgeport

The crew here makes you feel like family. We cooked, ate, laughed, and shared stories about where we’re from, where we’re going, and where we’ve traveled. Meeting everyone was a real pleasure, and I’d recommend this International Hostel to anyone visiting Seaside Oregon. The beach is only a 3-5 minute walk, and the location and service are hard to beat. I love the P.N.W. scenery, all so green and beautiful. Tillamook Point sunsets are the best. Five out of five for the area and the hostel volunteers.

We stayed in a private room with my kiddo and rented one of their kayaks. The hostel is right on the river, a few blocks from the ocean and all the Seaside attractions, and it made for an affordable coastal getaway. We couldn’t be happier. Next time we’ll try the bunks!

Aside from being on the coast, this is a place I’d urge people to avoid. During my recent stay, I noticed a staff member often talking to herself in the dark. She talked about rape, murder, and violence, and even hit herself and gave herself black eyes. A guest in the room next to mine was yelling similar things, along with incredibly vulgar comments. I’m also pretty sure I saw drug deals, and there was definite drug activity. Don’t be lured in by cheap coastal rates. It only takes one emergency to change things forever. I won’t be back, and neither should you.

We’ve stayed in international hostels all over the world, and this one is just as sweet. The rooms are reasonably priced, the surroundings outside are beautiful, the location is great, and the staff are thoughtful. Everything we needed!
