Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SeaTac by IHG

The free airport shuttle was a godsend, and breakfast had decent choices, more than enough to fill me up before my flight. I’d come back if I get the chance. I arrived late after a coach ride from Vancouver for an overnight stop. The receptionist was amazingly friendly and got me into my room quickly. I was pleasantly surprised to find it was a mini suite. The bed was really comfortable, especially after traveling in the rain.

This is a comfortable, clean hotel near the airport, with great staff. I got a Coke from the vending machine on the fifth floor using my credit card. I hadn’t noticed the sticker saying there’d be a temporary charge on my card for 24 to 72 hours to check that it was valid. The bank would remove the extra amount, leaving a fair price for the Coke. It was corrected within an hour. Someone from the front desk came up with me to explain how the third-party machine worked. I understood and wanted to share. The employees were wonderful. Thank you.

Housekeeping deserves 10 stars. The place looked so good because of their work, and the staff here were great too. There’s some covered parking, which is another plus, and the airport is close. You can take the tail link from the airport to downtown Seattle. A great place to book your stay.

Edited to add: Don’t trust parking details on websites other than the official ihg holiday inn site. The work site we booked through, Google, and Expedia all said parking was free, but the hotel charged over $20 a day. I don’t know whether it used to be free or if outside sites advertise it that way to get bookings and then charge once you arrive. I showed the manager, Zuri, the sites saying parking was free, but she kept pointing out that the official site says they charge. We returned our rental car early to reduce the cost. We’d booked and agreed to a price that included free parking, so being hit with such a high surprise charge was sad. Original review: They held our room for a red eye, and it was clean, nice, and quiet. Breakfast was great and the shuttle was helpful. The staff were so friendly and nice, the best part of the stay. Glad we stayed here, thank you!
