I had a long layover and walked over to Spark to ask about a room. They had one, and the experience was great. It took about five minutes to walk from the airport, the staff were super friendly, and the room was spotless. In the morning, a free shuttle took me back to the airport.

I liked everything about my stay, even though it was only one night before my flight. The hotel has been renovated and rebranded as a Hilton. It’s just a few minutes on foot from the airport, with a crosswalk nearby, so I walked with my bags right to the ticket counter without any trouble. I was surprised they also operate a shuttle.

I won't use this hotel again. Amelia at the front desk treated me disrespectfully, and I believe she was biased against Black people and profiling me. I had my ID and the card used for my online reservation, but she claimed the names didn't match even though they did, including on the other cards I offered so I could check in and sleep. I felt she was trying to embarrass me in front of the lobby. I asked to speak with management in person that morning, but no manager came to the desk. Another employee eventually resolved the issue and verified the card matched my ID. The card Amelia refused to use was the one that paid for the reservation and had been on my Hilton Honors account for years. Management's response made it seem they had no plan to train the employee or apologize for the profiling.

My son was left stranded at the airport overnight after the shuttle passed him by, and he couldn't cancel his reservation because his phone wouldn't work in the U.S. while he was traveling overseas. He was clearly visible in the designated pickup area, one of only three people there. I'd called the hotel three times, starting 50 minutes before the shuttle's final scheduled run, to make sure he'd be collected. When I called again right after it drove past him, the representative was rude, dismissive and unprofessional. They refused to send the shuttle back, even though it was still 11 minutes before the stated closing time. The communication and service were poor, and there was no accountability. If reliability and basic courtesy matter to you, I'd strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
