Mayflower Park Hotel

I stayed in two awful AirBnBs on Capitol Hill on other nights so I could be in that area, but this hotel is only one stop away. I don't know why I stay anywhere else. It's historic, has solid construction that keeps the rooms quiet, sits across from the light rail, and has a great bar and restaurant downstairs. The staff are great, too. Since I'd stayed before, they upgraded me to a suite even though I hadn't asked.

Our Classic Yacht Association gathering brought guests from out of town to the Pacific Northwest, and we based ourselves at the lovely, historic Mayflower Park Hotel. The Classic Yacht Association is a non-profit organization that works to educate the public about classic yachts and promote the use and maintenance of classic motor yachts. Every five years it's our turn in the Pacific Northwest to host the other four fleets from the US and Canada for the annual meeting. Many of our boats are as old as the hotel. We enjoyed working with the professional staff to reserve a block of rooms, arrange several food and beverage events, and book meeting and convention space. The wait staff handled our dinner banquet for 54 people amazingly, with prompt, excellent service. Room rates were very reasonable, though it was January. If you're planning group travel or a meeting or convention, don't overlook this historic gem.

The building’s history and charm really stood out to me, and the housekeeping staff were especially sweet. I was in Seattle alone for work, and being able to walk to my conference made the stay easy. The connection to Westlake Shopping Center and its food court was handy too. I’d happily stay at Mayflower Park hotel again if I’m back in Seattle.

We came for a cheerleading competition, and everyone made us feel welcome. The reception team was kind, and our restaurant server was wonderful. The food was great, and they serve what I think is the best cider I’ve ever tried. My family and I would definitely return.
