Mildred's Bed & Breakfast

We stayed two nights in the Lace room. It was spacious, with a super comfy bed, and the private bathroom was roomy too, even though it wasn’t attached to the room. The shower was great. Breakfast was plentiful and good, and there were homemade cookies and Wi-Fi as well. Getting around was simple: the bus stops right at the door on arrival and picks you up 400' down the street to head back. Downtown was no more than a 10-minute ride. There’s plenty of free parking in front of and across from the B&B, with no time limit.

We’ve stayed here several times and have tried all the rooms. It’s so quiet at night that it can feel like we have the place to ourselves. The central location works well for the things we like doing, and the comfortable beds matter a lot to us. Breakfast and the morning greeting are relaxed, with no sense of being rushed. I’ve never run out of hot water. We’ll keep coming back when we’re in town as long as it stays this enjoyable.

A peaceful, quaint place to unwind, and they really make an effort to leave you with a good stay. It’s a lovely choice for a staycation too, a real hidden gem.
