The tea was reasonably priced: my cup of West Cape Chai, with a hot water refill, cost $5, and the lemon cake was $3.50. The chai had a lovely balance of sweet and spicy. I've wanted to visit this tea room for ages, and it turned out to be more than the old-fashioned place with a big selection I expected. It's a cozy hideaway on the edge of the International District, full of beautiful antiques and comfortable seats. The tea blends are distinctive, and they're labeled by caffeine level. I was glad to find so many herbal choices. Upstairs there's a tea and coffee bar, with tables and a couch; downstairs are more seats, a restroom, and Miu Miu, the resident cat who ended up in my lap. You could easily spend a few hours here by yourself or with company.

The building is an amazing piece of history, and staying there was outside our usual experience, but we're glad we tried it. Jan made us feel so included in something. Mike the door man was helpful and sweet too. We came for an event at Lumen field, which was within perfect walking distance. Everything was clean, friendly, and comfortable. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I grew up in Washington and have always loved the Seattle International District, so this was a special place for a romantic little getaway with my partner. I stayed over New Year's Eve and the night of January 1st. The quaint setting and atmosphere felt unique. Check-in was easy, and the staff and owner were personable. Next door, the tea shop had a great selection. I had a hot cup of sencha green tea and spent time with the friendly house cat. Uwajimaya, my favorite grocery store, is just a few blocks away.

We came to this tea house for my friend's school reading of Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, and she wanted to take photos. The place was a lovely surprise, with a cozy atmosphere, lots of cultural touches and Japanese decors, and a spacious layout across two floors. There was a great selection of loose teas and lots of cookies to choose from. The service was very friendly, and there were lots of parking spaces on the next block. Great experience, and we'll definitely come back. There's a cute cat, too!

This historical hotel in Chinatown has become my new favorite tea place. It's a cozy, quiet teahouse with two different rooms, friendly service, a house cat, Wi-Fi, pastries, and a great tea selection. The pots are generous, mine was almost full to the brim! Hidden gem.
