My first stay was quiet and pleasant, but coming back two weeks later was a different story. Noisy neighbors on both sides seemed to be up all night, and people across from us were night owls too. At one point, a woman argued with her companion and slammed her room door again and again. Eventually the manager came to quiet things down. The rooms are basic, with older furniture, but they’re clean. The sheets smelled fresh, like Clorox. There are hardwood floors, and the little fridge and microwave are nice to have.

I stayed for almost two weeks two years ago. The rooms felt put together from different pieces, but everything worked. It was a fair walk to anything. There were often scantily dressed young women around in the evenings, any night of the week, so there was always an interesting view. There were two shootings next to my room during that long stay. Whenever I asked staff for something, they took care of it quickly. I hadn’t known the hotels nearby and later realized I was paying the same as I would for a much nicer, cleaner, more secure place half a mile north on Aurora. I think I paid way too much.

The room was bare bones, and I think it may still have been under renovation. The lamp was broken and unplugged, the TV had lots of burn marks, and there was no toilet paper until the front desk gave us a roll when we asked. Even then, the holder was missing. The curtains were sheer, and the shower was like a tunnel with no light. The room smelled like smoke and cleaning products. At least it was available at a somewhat reasonable price, and the bed was clean. I know because the sheets still smelled of bleach.

I was nervous after reading reviews, but when I checked in four days ago for a week, the outside was clean and I didn’t see drug dealers or prostitutes. I’m grateful to the Seattle PD for that. The rooms had been remodeled and were clean, with fresh bedding and new towels. The staff were pleasant, and the beds were comfortable. At $70 a night, you couldn’t ask for more. I hope the cleanup continues up Aurora, and I’ll definitely stay here again at that price.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the people working here are so kind. They even gave my cousin and me a free soda. This has been my favorite place in Seattle since I first got here. Everyone is really friendly, and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back. They’re the best 🤞🏽💯🤗
