The place felt easygoing and comfortable, with no drama. We stopped in for drinks while on vacation, and the local band playing was fun to listen to. We even asked them to play a song. The bar staff got to us pretty quickly, our order was right, and the drinks were good quality for a reasonable price.

The pool was spacious and clean, and there was plenty to do with the games, recreation room, and gym. Breakfast was great, too. The staff and owners were really nice, and the whole place was clean with a nice atmosphere. I had a great time and would come back if I'm in Sebring, Fla. again.

This is a 99 year old hotel, so keep that in mind. It isn't fancy, and the rooms are small. The wall-mounted A.C. was a bit loud but manageable, and the water ran slightly rusty for a few seconds before clearing. The TV was small, though I didn't need it anyway. Still, I thought the stay was well worth it, especially for the history. I had a pleasant time and would definitely come back when I'm nearby. I think everyone should experience this place.

The rooms were spotless and each had its own character, and the price was right. The staff were polite and helpful, and we enjoyed a few hours of piano music in the lobby from a gentleman playing there. The hotel has aged and doesn't seem to get as much traffic as it once did. It reminded me of The Grand Budapest Hotel, like a grand old five star place in its heyday. I'll stay there again when I visit Sebring.

We'd imagined a pleasant old hotel, but the room was cramped and the bathroom even narrower. The sink was full of water left by previous guests, and it never drained. The desk staff sounded sympathetic when we called, but nothing was done, so we brushed our teeth in the bathtub. The Wi-Fi barely reached the third floor, leaving us to use our phone data. The old Zenith TV had such a bad picture my wife couldn't tell Robert DeNiro from Al Pacino. A German roach crawled across the desk, and neither bedside lamp worked. I checked the mattress for bedbugs since I'm a research entomologist. I didn't find any, but there was a nasty yellow stain on it. The bed was too high for me to manage comfortably, and with no curtains, streetlight came right into the room. I slept badly. We might have left, but it was nighttime, raining, and the Marriott where we usually stay was full. I told the desk staff about everything and asked for some compensation. They were sympathetic again, but said they couldn't do that. In the morning we left quickly and skipped the horrible breakfast. I only got some Earl Grey tea. How could they ruin that?
