Hampton Inn Sedona

We're long-time Hilton members, and this was very subpar, even for a Hampton. The hallway carpet had just been replaced and smelled strongly of chemicals, and it looked like rooms were being renovated. Our room seemed to be two old rooms joined together, with an extra bed in a closet-like space with no window or vents. The whole room smelled awful, like a musty wet dog, and we got a headache whenever we were inside. There were several mold spots on the bathroom ceiling, and the milk at breakfast was sour. We would not stay here again.

Monica at the front desk made our stay easy and welcoming from start to finish. She suggested things to do around Sedona and even helped when our rental car got a flat tire, which meant a lot to our family. After looking at several places, I'm glad we chose this one. We were very impressed with the customer service, especially Monica going above and beyond, and we'd gladly return.

The advertised photo shows a towering red rock mountain behind the hotel, but there are no red rock mountain views like that in reality. The place would be empty if it were anywhere other than Sedona. Inside, the bathroom had mold around the tub and spots on the ceiling. Water was all over the window heater/AC because the windows were old and leaking. The hallway had a really strong smell, like too much carpet fresh powder had been used to cover the stink.

We came back because we'd stayed here before, even though the reviews had been pretty harsh. Nothing was especially remarkable about the place, but Tracy at the front desk made a difference. She was already sending kind texts before we arrived, and on our second night she noticed it was our anniversary and upgraded our room.
