The fireplaces and fire pits all around the hotel were the highlight for us. They were kept going inside and out, which made our December stay feel especially luxurious. Our family also enjoyed the pools and hot tub, and our kids, ages 7 and 12, had plenty to do. We stayed in well-kept adjoining rooms with a living area between them and two outdoor patios. The on-site restaurant was convenient, the drinks were great, and on New Year's Eve we ate in an outdoor igloo, where our 7-year-old could be as exuberant as she liked. The location was both convenient and beautiful. Bell Rock was closer for our hiking plans, while the drive to central Sedona was quick and manageable. There were good restaurants nearby. We had a fantastic trip and would return. We strongly recommend booking the resort through Costco.

I paid $335 USD, including breakfast, for a room with an outdoor fireplace, but the propane flame gave off very little heat and wasn't much use. The room itself was spacious and nicely decorated, but the bed was too firm for us. The pillows were comfortable, though there were only four for a king bed. At a $320 USD nightly rate, paying $3 for each small bottle of water also felt unreasonable. We booked at the last minute and had plenty of room choices because the hotel wasn't busy. The massage was disappointing too. Because of spa renovations, it was moved to a hotel room, and the treatment felt rushed and unfocused, without a clear flow. The music wasn't relaxing, my hair got pulled, and oil was sprayed on my face. The therapist was kind, but the $235 USD service plus tip didn't meet expectations. There was ongoing construction, and the property didn't feel truly luxurious for the price. Sedona has plenty of comparable options for much less. I'm mad at myself for paying so much instead of staying at a regular b&b, but I'll know for next time.

The hotel is 15-40 minutes from other parts of Sedona depending on traffic. We liked Oak Creek Village, found plenty of good places to eat, and enjoyed being near hiking trails. For somewhere marketed as luxurious, the property fell short. Construction was going on at the front entrance, which I thought would be finished by our stay. Our room was decent but dated, and the extra room suited our family of four. Dining choices were limited. The lobby bar was nice and the Starbucks was good, but the attached convenience store closed early in the afternoon, leaving no options there later. Parking cost a lot despite plenty of spaces. We played pickleball often, but the courts need resurfacing, and playing longer than an hour costs $30. The lap pool was closed. Signage for the gym and spa in another building was unclear, and when we went to the desk, the concierge wasn't always there.

Our unit had a separate bedroom and living room, plus a small fridge, microwave, and sink. There was a gas fireplace in the living room, and first-floor units also have an outdoor gas fire pit. The hotel has an outdoor pool and pickleball courts, and there was plenty of parking. It's outside the center of Sedona, about a 15-minute drive to town depending on traffic. The entrance was under construction, and the hotel could use some updating. The gym is in a separate building behind the hotel, while the sauna and steam room were reportedly being renovated. Daily charges were $26 for the resort fee and $15 for self-parking.

The pool was perfect, and the room was huge and extremely comfortable. I thought it fit the surrounding area well rather than feeling dated. We were coming from the UK and have stayed at many Hilton hotels, but this is easily the best one we've visited. As gold members, we got reserved parking, which helped because it was busy, a welcome bag, a free bar drink voucher, and $18 each in F&B. There was quite a bit of construction, but that happens from time to time and I don't think it's fair to lower a rating for it. All the staff were very friendly. The gentleman at the bar and the restaurant host were especially lovely and happy to chat. We'll definitely return, even with the nine-hour flight.
