I hate leaving bad reviews, but people need to know. I wanted something affordable and basic, not trash, and the good reviews made me feel okay about booking a Super 8. The included breakfast was a joke: in the small check-in lobby there were two juices, two cereal dispensers with milk available only if you ask, coffee worse than a gas station’s, and maybe three plastic-wrapped muffins that could’ve been old. No fruit, toast, or eggs. Calling that free breakfast feels misleading. I had to move the microwave to discover it wasn’t plugged in, and there wasn’t even an open outlet behind it. The room phone had a broken wire and didn’t work, so I called the front desk from my cell and reported it. Nobody said they would fix it or seemed to care. I was in a lot of pain during my stay, and hot baths had been helping. At 5 a.m. on my last morning, I tried to run a bath, but after letting the water go for 6-10 minutes, it was still lukewarm at best. I called from my cell because the room phone was broken. I reminded the man that I’d already reported the phone to a woman at the desk, but he said I hadn’t. It felt like he was calling me a liar. He said maintenance wouldn’t be in until 8, and I told him I was in pain and needed hot water. I got more upset when he argued with me, and said I didn’t want to pay for a room without hot water. He offered to move me. I appreciated the attempt to find a solution, but asked whether the new room would have hot water. I didn’t want to pack everything and move at 5 a.m. while in pain, only to find the next room had the same issue. He said he’d see what he could do and that I could use the empty room next door to take a hot bath without moving my things. A few minutes later, the broken room phone rang. When I answered, it was pointless, since the wire was broken. I called him back from my cell. He said the water was fine because it had been checked, even though he’d just told me maintenance couldn’t check it for three more hours. He suggested I try running it again. I explained that I’d already done that and it stayed lukewarm no matter how long I ran it on full hot. He said that wasn’t true and nothing was wrong with the water. I got upset and asked why he was implying I was lying. I said I didn’t feel I should pay for a room with no hot water, especially without a solution, and asked for a manager. He said there wasn’t one. When I asked when a manager would be there, he said he didn’t know. He told me his name was Pete. I’m looking forward to speaking with Pete. Dismissing paying guests when they report a broken phone or water that only gets lukewarm isn’t customer service, and it doesn’t help. Those are the reasons for my bad review. It’s awful that I’m writing this at 5:55 a.m. in immense pain because I can’t take a hot bath in the room I paid for. Beware.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stayed here while traveling, and it’s become my go-to. The owners and staff are truly great people, from the front desk to housekeeping. I can’t speak to what others have reported, but I’ve never seen roaches or dirty towels here. The owners clearly take pride in the property. It’s tidy outside, with no cigarette butts, and I’ve never seen loud construction crews, all-night partying, drug users, prostitutes, or sketchy people hanging around. Once my AC had a problem, and the owner and a helper replaced it in half an hour. They’re painting the outside now. Don’t come expecting a big breakfast, but if you want coffee and something small before a day trip, it works well. I’ve talked with them many times and they’re wonderful folks.

This is an old motel dressed up to look better than it is. The rooms were dirty, the bathroom tiny, and the toilet shifted when you sat on it. Don’t trust the claims about a continental breakfast, either. The coffee was old, the rolls stale, and there were a few cheap yogurts. What a joke. Wyndham should be ashamed. Stay far away.

For an unplanned overnight stop, this was a decent motel and worked well. The office staff were polite and professional, and the room was clean, seemed to have been repainted, and had no musty smell or other red flags. The TV worked, the shower was decent, and the bed was comfortable enough. The room started out very warm because the AC was off, which wasn’t ideal, but it cooled down quickly once I turned it on. With a last-minute booking, I didn’t expect the motel to keep every unit running all the time. The exterior was reasonably clean, although there were a few cigarette butts left by people who hadn’t cleaned up. It’s not a high-end hotel and shouldn’t be judged by that standard. I’ve stayed in better and worse, and nothing here would stop me from staying again.

The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. There’s plenty of parking, and nearby restaurants are easy to get to. I’d highly recommend it.
