The Postcard Motel

The front desk was very nice, but the room was a letdown. It smelled old and unused, the two bath towels were thin and dingy, and the furniture was beat up and outdated, not quaint. The tub was moldy and dingy. There was no Kleenex, no table between the beds, and too few outlets to charge a phone or use a laptop without unplugging something else, like the fridge. The photos make the rooms look lovely, but ours was nothing like them. This felt like a $50 room at best, though we paid $116.00. I raised the outlet issue with the manager, and she brought over a power strip. She said the rooms were all different and that this was how ours was. By the time I found the dirty tub when I went to shower, I was already naked and didn't want to get dressed to complain, so I just called it a night and went to bed. This review is factual and fair.

Check-in was easy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was simple, clean, comfortable, and had modern updates. There are places to eat and drink within walking distance. It's an old-school Rt 66 motel. If you're staying overnight in Seligman, I highly recommend the Postcard Motel.

We try to come by a couple of times a year, and the location in Seligman on Route 66 is great. It's an old, quaint roadside motel, and the rooms are clean. Manager Shannon is always accommodating, which is much appreciated.

I was already running behind and booked later than I meant to, but Shannon sent a code over so I could check in faster. That worked out perfectly, since I later ran out of gas at one point. My fault, the view was too pretty to stop! When you need a place along Route 66, this is a great little roadside experience, a classic motel with all the essentials.
