I’ve been here 20 minutes and already have a headache from the smell. My first room reeked of that Los Angeles Subway disinfectant spray, so I asked to switch. The next room wasn’t quite as bad, but it still smells strongly of the same stuff. The people here are very nice, but covering a bad smell with an even worse one doesn’t help. I thought paying more meant I’d get a better hotel.

I canceled within ten minutes, but this motel refused to refund my money. I wouldn’t recommend it. There are plenty of nicer hotels in Selma Ca.

The place smelled of mold or mildew, the repairs looked like a 10 year old had done them, and the continental breakfast was a joke. It felt like staying in a 3rd world hotel.

It took me a while to warm to the place, but now I like it more. It’s quiet and clean, and Eric at the front desk is cool. He’ll negotiate the price with you.

There are plenty of restaurants right next door, and the hotel is just off the freeway. The parking area is fenced and well lit, there’s a pool, and the rooms are fine. It’s clean and quiet, and the owners are friendly and helpful. If you want a luxury room at $300 a night, go to the Hyatt. For value, I’d stay here again when I’m in the area, and I’d recommend it.
