Dreamland Inn and Suites

Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and had a very comfortable bed. The motel is under new management and renovations are underway, including new landscaping. The people managing it were really nice and working hard inside and out to improve the place. They even apologized for how it had been before and said they plan to keep making it better. Though it's right by the highway, there wasn't much traffic noise in the room. We plan to stay here on our way home.

I've never stayed in a room this nasty. I usually don't post reviews, but maybe this will save someone else the same experience. It looked like it had been used for a porn flick. The comforter had big yellow stains, and the chair was awful, like it belonged in a dump. Staff were rude and unaccommodating. There was no iron, ironing board, or hairdryer, so we had to go to Walmart to buy those things. The pictures show what I mean.

We finally found a place that honored our booking after three other hotels turned us away, with two sleeping kids in the back and a seven-hour drive behind us. One attendant suggested driving 20 minutes up the highway, and Dreamland Inn was the first place we tried. The area seemed a little rough to me, but the hotel was great: simple, very clean, and everything was brand new. The mattress was more comfortable than the one in my own bedroom. The owner checked us in and offered an extra hour before checkout since we'd arrived so late. I could've hugged him for finding us a room. I think the hotel had just been purchased, and the owner is putting in a lot of work to fix it up and keep it nice. The price was good too. If I'm traveling along I-55 again and need a place, this is where I'll stay.

They threw a family out into a freezing ice storm because of their disabled child.
