Days Inn by Wyndham Seneca / Clemson Area

We've stayed at this motel for years, often at least three nights a week, and sometimes for two or three months at a stretch. Since last July 2025, we've been staying weekly again, so I'm very confused that they're only now saying my girlfriend isn't allowed there. They claim she has a no trespassing notice, but she's never received one and has nothing about it in her paperwork. The other person who was with her did get one, and his papers clearly say he's not allowed on the property or at the hotel. The motel even towed his truck, while hers was allowed to stay for two weeks. They loaded her belongings, kept her truck safe, and the manager let her use his cell to call me, then called me afterward to explain. If she'd been banned from Days Inn, I don't think they'd have kept her truck there or helped us avoid a tow bill. As far as we can tell, the paperwork doesn't show any notice for her, so maybe they've mixed things up. We must have spent over $9,000 there. We always leave the rooms spotless. She takes out the trash, uses cleaner, and cleans everything before we go; the maids love doing our rooms because it looks like nothing's been touched. They lost a good customer and a lot of business over this. I hate it, since we really enjoyed staying there and it's close to everything.

I was in town for a funeral and booked online without knowing what to expect. The location was convenient, but when I arrived late, the woman who greeted me was unpleasant and seemed fake-friendly. I asked for a non-smoking room, yet the whole room smelled of tobacco. I was exhausted from the long trip, so I didn't complain. Then I found black mold on the shower ceiling and walls. If I could give it half a star, I would. It's a dump that needs to be shut down. Save your money and spend an extra $20 for somewhere decent.

The full parking lot made me worry it would be noisy, but this was actually the quietest stay I've had in a while. By around 10 each night, it seemed like the whole place was asleep. I went in with low expectations after reading the reviews, but wanted to decide for myself, and I'm glad I did. Everyone was great, including the front desk woman, the housekeepers, and the gentlemen in the rooms next to mine. The location was right up the road from where I was visiting, so no complaints there. I'll stay again if I'm back in the area.

I usually stick with Hilton, but a funeral came up at short notice and there wasn't much lodging available, so I stayed at a Days Inn. Lisa at the counter gave me more hospitality that night than I've had anywhere else. She made the stay much more enjoyable. Thanks, Lisa! Steven, Room 105
