The continental breakfast had lots of choices, and the rooms are usually quiet and comfortable, as with most Red Roof Inns. In room 109, though, neither the deadbolt nor the security brace worked, since the brace had been broken off. I wedged a chair against the door. The wifi may be outdated or they may have issues with it: I had to stand in the parking lot to connect, and then lost it within five minutes of going back inside. There was also no floor mat to wipe my shoes on when entering. Given the choice between a TV and reliable wifi in a room, I'd choose the wifi.

I had a pleasant, problem-free stay, just as I hoped. It's a budget motel, so I didn't expect much, but the place was adequate and the staff very friendly and accommodating. Since pets are welcome, I appreciated the laminate floors, which are easy to clean and help keep the rooms smelling fresh.

After a couple of rough hotel stays in Tennessee and Alabama, this Red Roof Inn felt like a real relief while I was traveling from Texas. The room was clean, and it had all the toiletries. They also had a morning breakfast with bagels, muffins, toast, cereal, juice, and coffee, plus guest laundry on site. The staff seemed to keep things tidy, so the property looked nice. I liked the spot up above the highway too, where you can see where you've come from and where you're headed.

The room smelled awful, with burn holes in the bedspreads, dirt and trash in the corners, and nicotine-yellowed walls and lamps. The coffee maker didn't work either. I'd spent hours stuck in interstate traffic and was desperate for a room since everything else was booked. I'd never stayed at a Red Roof Inn, but gave this one a chance after booking through Priceline. I hadn't realized smoking was still allowed at some places, and the booking was nonrefundable. I wish I could give it zero stars. This is the most disgusting motel I've ever stayed in. Don't stay here, you'll regret it.
