The mattress was the best part for me, clearly newer and very comfortable, almost like memory foam. The pillows were plush, the towels fluffy and nearly new, and we had extra blankets and pillows too. A mobile heater had been put in the bedroom because we stayed in January, but the HVAC worked well enough that we didn’t need it. Unlike another review I’d seen, our mattress didn’t have a plastic cover. Ian greeted us at check-in and made a wonderful first impression. He showed us around and to our room, explained the property, showed us how to use the keypad, and offered to carry our bags upstairs. The room was impressively clean and tidy. It’s a historic place with signs of age, but it seems very well maintained. I’m local, about 10 minutes from The Veranda Inn, and have loved Senoia since moving here five years ago. I’d dreamed of staying at the Inn, and really enjoyed it. It feels like a well-loved property that takes pride in hospitality, and the staff reflect that. Can’t wait to return!

I’ve spent more time in Senoia over the past few years, and this has become one of my favorite places to stay on vacation. The staff are always pleasant, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is wonderful. If you’re a fan of The Walking Dead, especially, stay here!

The guest fridge downstairs had cold bottled water, and the TV was easy to use with live channels. Our room was cozy and spotless, with everything we needed. The air conditioning kept it cool in the summer heat, the bed was comfortable, and the whole place was peaceful, so we slept well. We had a lovely overnight stay at The Veranda Historic Inn. The historic character drew us in, and we were glad to find it clean, well maintained, and welcoming. Check-in was easy, and the staff were kind and helpful. You can tell the inn is looked after with care and pride. We’d happily stay again if we’re looking for a relaxing spot with character and comfort in Senoia.

A great place right in downtown Senoia, with plenty of good restaurants just a few steps away. Check out the Walking Dead room!

We stayed one night, and that was enough. We know the building is old, but in the UK we have buildings from before the US was discovered that have been turned into hotels with basic necessities. For what we paid, I expected more than this. The air conditioning seemed as old as the building and didn’t cool the room. There was warm water left on the dresser, no fridge for milk or water, and Senoia gets very, very hot. The TV was balanced on the fireplace and had no channels. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with a precariously placed TV that didn’t work. The bed squeaked so much that moving even an inch woke us up. It was described as newly refurbished, but the work seemed shoddy. I wouldn’t have wanted to see it before the refurbishment. I’ve stayed in much better places for less money. It also needs a deep clean. Old doesn’t have to mean dusty and dirty. We were really looking forward to staying here, so it was very disappointing. Next time we’ll go to Griffin and find a hotel with air conditioning, a fridge, and a working TV. If you want basic accommodations for a big price tag, this might suit you. The one bright spot was the lovely young woman who checked us in.
