My wife and I booked a jacuzzi room for our second anniversary, but the place smelled strongly of pesticide from the moment we walked into the living room. It had a worn old sofa that looked like it was from the 80s, a tiny tube TV, and a dirty electric fireplace. In the bedroom, the small flat-screen was mounted far from the bed, which was low and hard as a floor. There was also an old phone with broken buttons. The balcony looked unsafe, with mold on the walls and gaps between the concrete floor and wooden railing. The jacuzzi was very old and had yellowed, and the bathroom toilet looked toddler-sized. The awful smell was everywhere, so we lost interest and left. The employee at the counter refused my $209 refund and offered another room. Why would I take it? I paid $209 to stay here, and this room showed me how low the quality was. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone!

This quiet, peaceful property has a lot going for it: 17 acres of woods beside the Olympic Discovery Trail, and spacious rooms much bigger than a typical motel room. The staff were genuinely kind, too. It has the feel of an old-school lodge, which is getting harder to find. The building is older and could use some updating, but there’s real potential for it to become the best place in Sequim. For the location and price, it’s a great value. I’ll be back.

It’s decent for the money if you need a room in a pinch. The rooms were clean and fairly comfortable. They don’t have anyone here after 11, so make sure you arrive before then. For the price, it wasn’t bad.

I can’t understand the five-star ratings. The price doesn’t fit the quality: the place is run down and messy, with junk scattered across the lawn and a strange smell in the lobby. Our non-smoking room reeked of smoke and cheap air freshener. The old mattresses were uncomfortable, though the sheets were clean, the only good thing I can say about the room. We were downstairs and could hear everything upstairs, from footsteps to people brushing their teeth. It was very loud. If you want a good night’s sleep, stay somewhere else.

It’s got a relaxed, woodsy feel. Nothing fancy, but it works for a night or so. They’re dog friendly, and we could park right in front of our room. The towels were small, but the water was hot.
