The manager and bartender were very friendly, and the kids loved playing with Captain Howdy the pug, who is around some evenings. The main lodge has a fireplace, a free pool table, and board games. Our room was spacious, warm, and had a kitchenette, with complimentary continental breakfast of coffee, juice, muffins, cereal, and yogurt. It’s a 10-minute drive to Belleayre Mountain. We’ll be back.

Good value for the price, and the room was spacious and clean. But the fridge was really dirty and had very old food in it, so we couldn’t use it for our drinks.

Be very careful when they ask you to sign anything. The website lets you book just one night on a weekend, but the confirmation email says you’ll be charged for two nights even if you stay only one. It seems a two-night minimum applies on weekends. Not recommended, and a waste of time.

We chose this place for a wedding nearby because its prices were the best in the area. The rooms are a minimalist’s dream: cozy, clean, and comfortable. We had one of the lower-cost rooms above the Pub, and I think the larger rooms may be in the chalet on the hill. It’s a rustic inn, so don’t expect the Ritz. The women who run it will do whatever they can to help. The Pub serves good food at fair prices, with a light breakfast on weekdays and weekend breakfast served there too. There’s a free pool table inside, and an outdoor pool that’s weather dependent.
