Best Western The Inn at Sharon/Foxboro

My sister was the guest, and I ended up driving 5.5 hours round-trip to retrieve the personal item she left behind. She forgot it after getting frustrated trying to get the hotel to honor the original booking price. The front desk told her to email a UPS label so they could ship the item, even though they don't have regular pickups. Then they wouldn't take it to a UPS drop point just 5 minutes away. There also seemed to be a “game day” pricing issue. Their website showed no upcharges or higher service fees in the total when a room was booked, but the price was different once a guest arrived. That felt like quite a scam. The front desk staff handled it terribly.

I stay here pretty often for work. The rooms are always clean, and David, the night manager, is excellent. It's a Best Western, so expect something plain and basic.

We used this spot as an affordable base for visiting Boston. It was half the price and close enough for us. For an older property, the place is great, and the team were super friendly and took good care of us. It would also be a great place to stay for a Patriots game. Recommended.

I booked a room for a Tuesday night after the website said I wouldn't be charged until arrival. They took the full price within an hour, even though booking shouldn't have been an issue that night. Later, when I got sick, I canceled under the free cancellation policy. Five days have passed and I still haven't gotten my refund. They need to work on how they come across. If they say they won't charge you, they shouldn't.
