The breakfasts were some of the best my husband and I have had in our 30 years of life. They took care with the preparation and brought them up to our room, which made for a lovely start to each day. The room itself was gorgeous and cozy, with a much appreciated fireplace by the bed and a tub so luxurious I never wanted to get out. We also loved how the mansion's history was woven into the decor, and exploring the place felt like an event on its own. After our first visit, we were already planning another trip. Buhl Mansion was everything we could have asked for and more, and well worth the drive. Every staff member made us feel welcome and comfortable, and went out of their way to make the stay wonderful. The quiet afternoon tea in the beautiful main room was relaxing after the drive, and the tea treats surprised us with how good they were. I even talked my husband into getting a pedicure with me, and months later he STILL talks about it! We can't wait to return this winter for another cozy getaway. The neighborhood is cute and has plenty of businesses nearby. If you like chocolate and candy, check out Daffin’s. We also recommend booking dinner at their sister property, The Tara Inn. You won't be sorry making Buhl Mansion your cozy escape sanctuary.

Our wedding weekend got a wonderful start and finish at Buhl Mansion. We stayed in two rooms, first for a spa day with my best friend on Friday, then in another room with my husband on our wedding night the next day. I can't thank the staff enough for all their kindness and thoughtful touches. They even helped fix my hair on the wedding day after the salon had left one side uncurled. We talked about coming back every year. The comfort, decor, attentiveness, and kindness were all noticed. 10/10, worth every penny 🥹 The spa day was a perfect, relaxing way to spend the day before the wedding. The ambiance and services were lovely, everyone was friendly, and lunch was included. The mansion's vintage feel, room details, and beautiful grounds were all a treat. Breakfast was incredible both mornings, delivered to our room, and we enjoyed the delicious afternoon tea too. From the first booking conversation with Taylor, including questions about the rooms, spa packages, and timing, to Laura helping with extra details and being so accommodating, everyone we met showed wonderful hospitality. The gals and gent at check-in made it easy and even carried our things to the room. Words don't begin to capture how grateful I am.

What I’ll remember most is how friendly and attentive the staff were. Our room was clean, quiet, and well appointed. Breakfast came fresh and hot after we chose to have it delivered, and it was tasty, with sweet and savory choices on the menu. We drove an easy 90 minutes to Buhl Mansion for a spa day. The staff arranged a facial, pedicure, and hot stone massage with a lunch break between them. We had a fresh grilled chicken salad in the sunroom overlooking the gardens. The mansion's grand feel, welcoming arrival, and beautifully manicured grounds made a lovely first impression. They also offer afternoon tea and an evening champagne reception to guests. I'd lived in Pittsburgh's East ‘burbs all my life and somehow hadn't visited before this weekend. Now I'm sure I'll be back.

We finished the evening at Stonewall Tavern, where the food was excellent and well prepared. It fit the understated, elevated feel of the day and brought the experience together nicely. The daycation at Buhl Mansion felt thoughtfully put together from beginning to end. The historic property has a quiet mystique, and feels intimate and refined while still being well preserved rather than dated. Everything was clean, cared for, and detailed. Service had the same consistent feel throughout, from the house team to the spa. The staff were welcoming and attentive without hovering, and it felt personal rather than transactional. The spa was calm and well run, with nothing feeling rushed or overlooked. This place delivers on the experience as well as its appearance, and I'd gladly return.

The staff were attentive, and Armando recognized us and knew our room as soon as we arrived. They offered a tour, but we decided to look around on our own. Our room, The Grand Turret, was exceptional, and we felt like royalty. The whole property was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We skipped the spa this time, but maybe you'd enjoy those options. Breakfast was yum yum, with delivery to the room or service in the dining room. There are lots of shops and places to eat down the road, and they have options for that too. Definitely going back in the summer, and I'd like to try another room. Tea time was fabulous, with delicious sandwiches and pastries. If you're looking for a getaway, this place is worth a look.
