The welcome bag with water, trail mix and a Hershey bar was a thoughtful touch, and the Keurigs are a nice upgrade from the usual coffee pods. The hotel is handy for the Shawnee Super Wal-Mart next door, and we’ll be back. Our room was clean and comfortable, though there were a few carpet stains and signs of normal wear. The furniture was in good shape, and the beds were comfy, if a little high. Even across from the elevator, we didn’t hear outside noise. Staff were courteous, helpful and responsive. Breakfast was standard, nicely presented and served at the right temperature.

Afternoon cookies were a lovely treat. Carla in the dining area was friendly and attentive, and the check-in staff were kind and helpful. The hotel was very well kept.

PET OWNERS BEWARE. Their pet policy isn’t clear, so call twice to confirm whether dogs are allowed. We were told dogs were welcome and had to be crated if left in the room. That’s why we chose this hotel. At check-in, though, I learned there was a $75 per night pet fee and a $250 deposit. I understand charging a fee for dogs, but $75 is not cool. And you can’t leave your pet alone in the room when you go out.

The breakfast was extensive and delightful, and the welcome member bag was offered at reception without me having to ask. Everything was very clean, and all the equipment was working and available. The accommodations were great overall. I did have to request a second bath towel, and the ice machine could be easier to spot.

The staff were so sweet and funny, and handled an awkward situation really professionally. Someone complained that we were smoking in the room, but we weren’t. My husband works in cannabis, and the smell was coming from his clothes after a full day at work. We’ll definitely stay again. The rooms are always clean, and the beds are really comfortable.
