Quality Inn Shawnee I-40

Dana gave us amazing customer service. We arrived around midnight, tired and frustrated after booking problems at other hotels nearby, and she helped us find a good price and get settled. I’m really grateful for the care she showed us. The walls were thin, though, and we were woken a couple of times by people talking outside, which is why I didn’t give five stars. The beds were comfy, the room smelled clean and it was definitely worth the price. A great last-minute find for our family of three with a pet.

We all enjoyed our stay, and I’d recommend this motel if you’re on a budget. For the price, it was worth it, and breakfast was amazing. The room was clean. A few little things could be better: the light over the sink was very dim, and we needed an extra blanket for the hideaway couch. The bed felt extremely hard at first, but I slept like a baby and my back was fine in the morning. Just bear with the bed. Lol

The room was clean overall, and the price and location were great. Service was good, too, and I’d stay here again. The mattress was uncomfortable and should be updated. Although the room seemed to have been renovated, some finishing work was missing: a ceiling tile was gone, the air filter vent was extremely dirty, and the carpet by the sink was coming away from the wall. The refrigerator was missing two front feet, so it was hard to open; I fixed that by putting folded paper underneath. I can understand some unfinished details with covid, but the bed was a real problem.

The pool was very nice and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was okay. The rooms weren’t bad, but there was dust covering the vents by the sink and in the bathroom, and the bathroom tiles were cracking. The door was almost impossible to open and close, with a big hole on its inside. The beds were rock hard, though I loved the pillows. There was also a lot of paint touch-up needed. The place could use updating.
