Relax Inn

For what we paid, I had a great time. The woman who checked us in was incredibly helpful and had great customer service. Our room was clean, the bed and floor included, and the warm water, fridge, and TV all worked. They let me bring my dog, parking was plentiful, and there's a Mexican restaurant right outside the door. People expecting a five-star stay at this price should book a full-price chain hotel instead. We'll be back on our yearly trip.

The staff were very nice, and the office kindly brought over a microwave when the fridge wasn't working. The bathroom door was swollen and warped, so it wouldn't shut. It was an okay motel, and Shelby doesn't have many choices. I paid an extra security deposit and got it back.

I've never seen rooms this dirty. The sheets were stuck to the mattress. This place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Don't stay here. Mansfield is only ten minutes away.

The bed was comfortable for me, the water pressure was excellent, and the bathroom had new tiles. Relax Inn has improved since my last visit about a year and a half ago, though it still needs some cosmetic work. It's a nice, quaint hotel, and I'd stay again. They offer weekly rates, with an IGA down the road and plenty of fast food nearby. I'd put my rating closer to 3.5.
