Econo Lodge Shelbyville

The service was outstanding, they went above and beyond. The rooms are spotless, there’s hot water, and the location is excellent. I’ll stay here again because the service is top-notch.

The rooms smell bad, are dirty, and have bugs. Someone helped me pay the deposit, then got upset with me and went downstairs to get their deposit back. I’d already paid for the room for the night, but I had to leave because of what happened. They take people’s money.

I called ahead because I was coming from out of state, and they told me I wouldn’t need a deposit if I checked out by 11 a.m. When I arrived, a younger woman started checking me in and things were going smoothly. Then an older woman came out from the back, rudely interrupted, and was rude to both the employee helping me and me. She said I needed a deposit. When I explained what I’d been told on the phone, she kept being rude and told me to get out. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. You’d be better off sleeping in your car than dealing with the older woman in the lobby. If I could give zero stars, I would.

My dog ate a bag of meth from the trash around the hotel. I had to file a police report and go through the whole process. Thank God she’s still alive, but the vet says it’s a waiting game. Don’t let your kids or pets run around here! The staff are good, and the rooms are clean, but there’s so much trash outside.
