Ram's Head Inn

Matt at the front desk made our last minute Valentine’s Day booking easy. He was friendly, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed. My boyfriend and I found the stay cozy and romantic, and dinner at the Inn was excellent. The cabaret music made the evening feel special. We’d happily come back.

I’ve been to The Ram’s Head Inn more times than I can count, and I keep coming back for the award-winning food, water sunsets, and live jazz beneath the stars. It’s an inn, not a Marriott, and that personal, slightly timeless feel is exactly why I like it. The WiFi can take the occasional nap, but I find that part of the charm. It gets you to look up and notice where you are. I’m pretty sure the “overpriced stew” was the short rib bourguignon, one of my menu highlights. I’ve seen the owner all over the place, greeting guests, checking tables, carrying trays, and sometimes having a bite with friends. To me, that’s human, not inattentive. While you were counting the hours until you could leave, I was watching the waves with a glass in hand and feeling lucky to be there. And that red lounger from The Shining? It seems like it stole the spotlight too.

The wine list was fun, and Nick, the GM, made us feel so welcome. We had a wonderful stay at Rams Head Inn, with lovely decor and perfect service. Such a special place. I’d definitely return.

We stayed for Valentine’s Day eve, and it was amazing as always. Dinner and the lounge singers were incredible, and I had one of the best duck dishes I’ve ever tried. Every part of the stay felt perfect.
